Speciality Dining

Speciality Dining is wonderfully flexible, allowing you a change of scene and the opportunity to dine with different people. This is a great way to add variety to your holiday, if you wish to dine earlier or later than usual, celebrate a special occasion with family and friends or enjoy an intimate meal for two. Please note that a cover charge applies.

    What dining options are available on board?
    A:

    Our cruises are all full board and include breakfast, lunch and dinner, meals and snacks, poolside grills, deck barbecues and 24 hour buffets. 

    Speciality Dining is wonderfully flexible, allowing you a change of scene and the opportunity to dine with different people. For a small charge you can choose from a range of restaurants, a great way to add variety to your holiday or celebrate a special occasion. We have worked closely with our Food Heroes including chef Marco Pierre White and TV’s wine expert Olly Smith to perfect many of our Speciality Dining venues' ambiance and, of course, menus. Dining reservations can be purchased pre-cruise via My P&O Cruises and on board. Once on board, the Speciality Dining restaurants and opening times will be detailed in the daily Horizon newspaper.

    Enjoy breakfast, lunch and five course dinners in our main restaurants. Chatter and laughter fills our main dining room venues on each ship with friendly waiters to greet guests, prepare places and whisk wine to tables ahead of a sublime gourmet meal. Expect to find British classics on the menu as well as exotic flavours for the more adventurous. Every evening we’ll set a place for you in our main dining room and when booking – depending on your ship and fare - you can chose to dine at a set time or one that will fit around your day to day plans. We call these two options club and freedom dining. Club dining is a fixed seating plan operating on 2 sittings, either 1st sitting at 6.30pm or 2nd sitting at 8.30pm. We will reserve a table for you at the same time each evening with the same waiters and fellow diners for the duration of your cruise. Freedom dining gives you more flexibility as you are free to arrive for dinner any time between 6pm - 9.30pm. It may be that a table may not be free and you will be given a pager to advise when your table is ready. This will give you the opportunity to have a pre dinner drink before being called.  All dining times will be available in the daily Horizon newspaper once on board.

    There are also other dining areas to choose from throughout the day ranging from buffet food courts, pizzerias and daytime grills, all included in your fare.

    You can also take advantage of room service for light bites and/or full meals. Room service is available 24 hours a day and most items incur a charge. A room service menu will be available to you in your cabin.

    What happens if I have a food allergy/intolerance?
    A:

    Please call our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 355 5111 or your local Travel agent with details of your specific allergy/intolerance and we will notify the Restaurant Manager prior to your cruise.
