Medical Consent

In the event of an emergency while my child is signed into the Children's Club, I consent to any and all emergency medical care or treatment necessary to be rendered to my child at the discretion of the shipboard doctor (or other licensed doctor at the request of the shipboard doctor), in order to preserve the health and safety of my child. I also give my consent for first aid treatment to be provided whilst my child is being cared for within the Children's Club.

While every effort will be be made to locate me, I understand that these efforts will not delay the arrangements or provision of emergency medical care.

As the parent/guardian of the aforementioned child, I confirm that I am responsible for the health care of the child and am authorised to consent to any medical treatment reasonably necessary to preserve his or health and safety. This consent shall remain in effect while the child is registered with the Children's Club.

Responsibility in an emergency

When my child/ren are signed into the Children's Club, I understand I must collect them from the Children's Club in the event of the ship’s emergency alarm being sounded. I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to ask any member of the Youth Team for any additional information that I need regarding my responsibility during any such emergency.

Parental responsibility

Caring for your children in our facilities is our top priority, however parental supervision of all children travelling with you whilst on board is also your responsibility. Although we know that your child will be having fun with new friends and won’t always be in your company, we trust that you’ll know where they are, will check in on them periodically and will make sure they’re acting responsibly.

I acknowledge my responsibilities as parent/guardian of the above named child whilst on board. I understand that if my child is under the age of 16, I must supervise them when using the ship’s swimming pools. Furthermore, if my child is under the age of 13, I understand that I must supervise them in our cabin.

On board supervision of children in port

It is the ship’s policy that parents/guardians may not leave children under the age of 16 on board without a parent/guardian over the age of 18. This is in case of any medical or shipboard emergency.

I have read and understood that if my child/ren are under the age of 16, they are not to be left on board whilst in port without a parent/guardian over the age of 18.

Safeguarding children

Protection of children is of the highest priority to Carnival UK and our ship’s company and we would ask for your support in the safeguarding of our younger guests. If you have any concerns regarding the welfare of a child during your time on board, this must be brought to the immediate attention of the Youth Team manager or the designated safeguarding person who can be contacted via the Reception desk. Our shoreside company safeguarding officer can be contacted through our Customer Solutions department should you wish to raise a concern once you return home.
